Materials & care
At apto plus, we use high quality materials selected for durability and function in dynamic work environments. To maintain the appearance and function of our products, we recommend proper maintenance.
Metal & aluminum
Metal
All our metal is powder coated. This surface treatment protects against wear and corrosion.
Aluminum
Our aluminum profiles for the Extend shelving system are powder coated. This surface treatment protects against wear and corrosion.
Maintenance
Cleaning is done with a hard wrung cloth and neutral detergent. You can wipe with a clean cloth to remove any detergent residue.
Felt
The felt is made from 70% recycled plastic. The felt has several unique properties such as being flexible yet impact resistant. Its visual appearance, reminiscent of the texture of a carpet, creates a homely feeling in the office and also improves the acoustics in the room.
Stain removal: Remove stains with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap or delicate fabric cleaner. Always test on an inconspicuous area first. You can also try steaming gently.
Air drying: If the product gets wet, allow it to air dry thoroughly. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent shrinkage or deformation.
Avoid sharp objects: Protect the surface from sharp objects that can tear or scratch the felt.
Storage: Store the product dry and away from direct sunlight. Use a dust-free bag when not in use.
Plants in plastic
Our artificial plants are made of polyester, lacquer color and plastic. These are an alternative to live plants that require a lot of maintenance. Not everyone has that option, but still wants to create a green and natural atmosphere in the office.
Maintenance
Plastic plants tend to attract dust over time. You can dust them regularly with a soft, dry cloth or a slightly damp cloth to keep them clean and fresh.
Base plates in oak veneer
Our base boards come in quarter-cut European oak with fine, clean lines in the grain structure. The boards are protected with clear lacquer, which makes them less sensitive to moisture.
Maintenance
Regular cleaning: Wipe the plates with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh detergents as they can damage the surface.
Avoid direct sunlight: Protect against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can cause discoloration or fading.
Protect against moisture: Avoid leaving water or liquids on the panels as this can lead to swelling or deformation. If the lacquer wears off, the panels should be repainted or avoid placing mugs, potted plants etc. directly on the surface.
