Our journey from 1997 to today
For many years, we have been one of Denmark’s
leading designers and manufacturers of
office furniture for the modern workplace.
1997 - PJ production is established
The office supply in Silkeborg collaborates with Jyske Bank on the development of a new concept. In this connection, pj production is established as a manufacturer of furniture for the bank.
2000 - Growing production
Danny and Jens are employed in production at PJ Production, especially due to the busyness of Jyske Bank's advisor desks.
2021 - CPU holder for modern needs
CPU holders are developed according to the needs of the technology. Has sold 1.6 million units until 2024.
2025 - New owners at PJ Production
Jens and Danny buy 100% of the shares in pj production.
2006 - New chapter for advisor desks
The second generation of Jyske Bank advisor desks is added and focus is placed on the general development of accessories for the desk.
2007 - Vivotel takes over Fona
The Vivotel brand is being developed for the sale of flat screen mounts and will be available in all Fona stores.
2008 - New headquarters in Haarup
New headquarters in Haarup, Silkeborg. At the same time, the financial crisis hits and the office furniture industry grinds to a halt.
2010 - New ownership and export focus
Now owned by three managers as Jesper is hired for the export market.
2012 - International debut
The export market is taking off and we are exhibiting for the first time at Orgatec in Germany. The Slim Tray drawer evolved and is still a success today.
2019 - New partnership and brand
Through a partnership with the architectural firm Hans Thyge & Co. the APTO Collection brand is born. This ushered in a new era in workplace design and interior design.
2021 - Adaptable and COVID-19
After a year of high demand during the pandemic, PJ Production continues to deliver PPE. This year also marks our debut at 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen.
2023 - New partner in PJ Production
Rasmus Nielson, hired in 2018 as an industrial designer, becomes a partner in PJ Production.
Currently, our standard range represents 60% of our total sales. It’s everything from classic CPU holders, drawers and shelving solutions.
